CoGenerational Learning

Presented by Susan Wehry, MD

Director for the AgingME 2: Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program
Associate Clinical Professor, UNE COM

In this interactive 30-minte session, the presenter will discuss ways to enhance knowledge exchange and skill development between individuals of different age groups. The goal is to foster a rich and less frustrating clinical learning and work environment, ultimately improving the care of and communication with older adults. Attendees will be encouraged to describe what is and is not working for them and reflect on why. Participants will be able to:

  • Describe reverse mentorship and intergenerational mentoring
  • Discuss programs that have successfully bridged the so-called generational divide
  • Identify one actionable practice improvement process that could be implemented in the training site
